Perth is the fourth largest city of Australia and the capital of State of Western Australia. Known as the City of Lights, Perth is expected to rank ninth in the 2010 List of World's Most Livable Cities. Geographically, Perth is one of the most isolated metropolitan area in the world, nearest city Adelaide being located around 2100 kilometers. Furthermore, Perth is more closer to East Timor, Singapore and Indonesia than the other major cities of Australia such as Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.





Climate of Perth is Mediterranean Climate with summer months from December to March generally hot and dry, winters cool and wet from May to September and moderate but highly seasonal rainfall. The economy of Perth is mostly service industries and there are very few manufacturing hubs. Perth is famous all over the world for its education and world renowned universities such as Murdoch University, University of Western Australia and Curtin University of technology. Perth International Arts Festival is a famous festival held annually, which is the showcase of Perth's Art, Music and Cultural dominance in the Western Australia.
